Tentative Plans for 2024...

I enjoy reading a few wargaming blogs and enjoy the plans, WIPs, painting progress logs etc that gamers record and share. This seems a good a place as any to record my own thoughts so that I can look back at the end of the year and see how I compare. I'm fully aware that my plans, as with most other gamers, rarely survive contact with Real Life. But as Father Ted replied to Fr Dougals pessimistic "it won't work, will it, Ted?"
"No, it won't. But we've got to try.."

Gaming plans
1. Finish the Khemed Invasion! Campaign. Again, many thanks to the lads at Wasatch Front Historical Gaming Society and their online Warning Order e-zine for the campaign rules and map which I have amended and used.

2. Crisis Point 2024- Operation Armageddon 1969. A game that will see the eminently foolish plan by some hardliners within the Lynch government in Ireland to invade Ulster in order to force a UN intervention to protect the Catholic population. The name given by the Irish army planners reflected their thoughts on the prospects of a tiny army equipped with WW2 era equipment, no air support etc taking on a NATO leader with all the latest in modern equipment to draw on.

3. More Seven Years War/American War of Independence games. One-off games played as and when, using the Maurice rules, with my long time opponent Andy T.

4. Inspired by the Gallabat mini campaign in the latest Wargames Illustrated, I've got a hankering for an early war game with British and Italians taking each other on. Tankettes, Gloster Gladiators, Fiat biplanes, colonial infantry and cruiser tanks, what's not to like. This is a very nebulous project.
