What I'm doing on my holidays
With the house currently looking like this, time away is a no-no, so our Easter holidays will be composed of days out and returning each evening. So I plan to use the time on some long overdue painting and hobby work and to get a game in. So far I have managed to finish the flocking of the tropical tree bases I made for Dos Amos and have completed the brace of Baccus 25 pounder guns I ordered for my East African campaign. It has taken me a while to settle on how to paint the infantry and crews. I'm going to undercoat everything brown, as the figures are already on their bases and sanded etc, so that makes the desert sand dry brushing easier. Then the figures will get a Dark Tone wash followed by a khaki dry brush, flesh, weapons etc. Quick and simple. This evening, I shall carry on with 4 remaining CMP trucks and perhaps some 7YW British line infantry, for a change of colour.
